Our IdoLife Wedding Package includes a number of km’s free of charge. Should your wedding destination fall outside these “free” km’s, travel fees are R5.50 per km, but no worries, we always try to find the most creative way to accommodate destination weddings and clients. We really will travel to wherever your wedding is!

Our typical turnaround time for your sneak peek is 10 days with the rest of your beautiful wedding images becoming available between four to six weeks later. For other photo shoots turnaround time is usually within three weeks. Your images will be available via a private online gallery and you will be able to download your images in both high and low resolution! From here you can share with family and friends.

It is normal to feel a bit awkward when you get photographed for the first time by an “unfamiliar” photographer. Rest assured, we will guide and direct you as a couple and create a calm atmosphere to ensure an enjoyable experience! We always suggest to our couples to book an engagement session before the wedding to ensure you are familiar with us and our shooting style on your wedding day.

Yes! These packages start at R10,000 and are only applicable for weddings with less than 30 guests during weekdays or Sundays. For public holidays our normal package prices apply.

When we shoot at a venue we haven’t shot before or if we have not shot there during the last few months, we arrange for a venue visit two to three weeks in advance, meeting the venue wedding coordinator and identifying beautiful spots to capture your images. We also use this time to determine the angles of the sun during the different parts of your wedding day and discuss alternative options, should the weather not play along, with the venue wedding coordinator. For destination weddings we arrive a decent time before our starting shooting time to do the necessary site visit.

Rainy days allows for beautiful images, just like any other day! When there is a light drizzle, we have umbrellas that can be used by the wedding couple. Should we run into a situation with heavy rain, there are always numerous options in and around the venue itself that can be utilised to take beautiful unique and romantic images.

This has never happened before, but life happens. Should an uncontrollable situation like this arise, we will do everything in our power to get the perfect associate photographer in our network for your wedding day. The associate photographer will be chosen based on their style, personality and experience to best match our shooting style and your specific requirements. Through the careful choice of our associate photographer and by still doing all the editing ourselves, your images will have the same style that made you fall in love with our work from the beginning.

Sticking to the exact schedule as planned on your wedding day can be challenging at times. Life happens – the makeup artist running late, a flat tire, the groom forgetting his written vows at home, the toasts taking longer than planned and the list goes on. We always stay 15 minutes after our contracted time, but if the schedule runs later, we will ask if the couple would like to extend our scheduled time. This is all discussed in our pre-wedding meetings to avoid any uncomfortable situations.

By now you probably have scrutinised the images of the last few weddings we featured and since you are still reading, it means that you love what you are seeing. We do however want to ensure you are in love with our shooting and editing style before a deposit is paid. Below we have therefore done our best to articulate what you have seen in the images.

We shoot for the visual storytelling of your wedding day, and this not only include capturing the moments that you are aware of but also those that you aren’t. We don’t just capture moments, but also emotions! Our shooting style can be best described as editorial with a healthy dash of candid images. This means that we like to capture moments and emotions as they unfold but will also ensure that we get enough cover page images by guiding you through some basic poses. Put differently, we capture a combination of candid and posed (styled) images.

When it comes to our editing style you can expect vibrant and colourful images, full of fun and laughter, with a healthy dash of black and white images, high in contrast and full of emotion and romance, and sometimes a hint of mood, drama and mystery!

Popular dates fill up quickly and for that reason a 50% non-refundable deposit apply. If you need to reschedule, we will do our best to accommodate your new date based on our availability. If we can’t accommodate your new date, this will be deemed a cancellation from your side and IdoLife Photography will be under no obligation to refund you. Please therefore discuss your new proposed date with us before paying your venue deposit.

As per our standard wedding contract, the copyright of the images will remain the property of IdoLife Photography, unless otherwise specified or arranged in the wedding contract. You can use and share your images for personal use only and not for advertising or publishing.
